'Machination' refers to any robotic or partially robotic species. They usually exist for commercial and personal purposes, but some do live out regular lives, even being regarded as great members of society that contribute significantly to the workforce.

They all have cultural relations, stereotypes, and stigmas amidst each other, usually spread via internal message boards and shared deep learning data centers.

Robot[edit source]

Calvuroid[edit source]

Calcul-a are designed to crunch numbers efficiently, and are relatively cheap to produce. They can perform basic household tasks such as cleaning and sorting, and have all of the built in features a smart home assistant would have. Although they do not feel emotions, they are pre-programmed with dialogue to make them feel like a real, sociable person.

Refin[edit source]

Refins are designed for use in the workforce, being able to sort papers based on high amounts of information and make calls, as well as being able to aid in constructing buildings and other physically-demanding activities. They more often than not are larger than Calvuroids, making it much harder to mistake them as real humans.

Senzo[edit source]

Senzo are a specialized type of robot designed expressly as weapons of war. Some models have technology that allows them to disguise as a regular demihuman, though their complete lack of personality is their easiest tell when trying to find one in a group of people. Of the robots, their natural form is the least human-like.

They are relatively easy to produce, however, most producers have put in limits as to how many they deploy at any one time, some world governments track them down and dismantle them.

Android[edit source]

Visoron[edit source]

Visorons are a type of android that was designed to be used in commercial scenarios. They are expensive to produce, but are among the most natural-looking and feeling androids available. Some of them do end up escaping and existing their own life, typically as a result of outdated firmware not being updated. Among other Androids they are treated as revered nobles whose knowledge should often be taken as gospel.

Bokkusu[edit source]

Bokkusu are a line of androids created mainly to preform household tasks. They were rather expensive when first brought to market, but after a few generations became as common as any other household appliance.

Later models began to have a more complex personality, learning abilities, and the ability to have feelings for other androids and demihumans. This evolution is what eventually led to them becoming the most popular type of commercial android, thus becoming extremely common in urban and suburban areas.

Any that escape to the wild or are released to live in the public either try to present themselves as demihumans, or try to take full advantage of their capabilities to get ahead in life.

Projematron[edit source]

Projematrons are a holographic AI that can function as a friend, companion, or caretaker. They cannot affect the physical world without use of Nanomachines, but each Projematron is personalized and has their own personality, set of emotions, and randomly generated 'life story', none of which the buyer gets a say over.

Projematrons that escape or are released to live on their own often struggle, as they need to find a constant energy supply to keep them alive, and so they often try to move in with another person or quickly move to the workforce in order to pay for their own electricity usage.

Mofuroid[edit source]

Mofudroids are androids that are considered to feel the most realistic, and are always on the cutting edge of simulating the way a real body feels. As a means of marketing this feature they are often given a cuddly and handsy personality by default. In public settings when talking to people they don't know this is usually paired with advertising where they can buy an android just like them. They have very little practical use, usually ending up just sitting around consuming media or sleeping, a fraction of them end up in low-paying jobs, and only a dozen in total have found any economic mobility.

Kamamaton[edit source]

Kamamatons are androids that are not sold, but are instead produced by an unknown group before being sent into the wild.

This type of android learns in the same way any other sentient species would, and thus tends to live alongside Demihumans. Among other androids they are often labelled as the bookworm type, and because of this stigma they usually do not work labor-intensive jobs, or jobs in the entertainment industry as much as other Machinations.

Mimaton[edit source]

Mimatons are released into the wild at random just like Kamamatons are.

Mimatons are also capable of learning like Kamamatons; however, they have a distinctly different code base and internal structure. Mimatons culturally are treated the same as other wild androids by demihumans, but amongst androids they're usually treated as more mischievous, party-loving extroverts.

Cyborg[edit source]

Cyborg[edit source]

Cyborgs are hybrid of flesh and machine. They can exhibit traits such as enhanced mobility, sight, hearing, and brainpower.

Living Battery[edit source]

Living batteries are hybrids of flesh and machine that are used as means of harvesting energy through biological means.
